東西文化大不同 輔大來台交換生經驗甘苦談
Experiences of the exchange students in Fu Jen University

本學期校內來自世界各地的外籍交換生總共有二十八位，他們分別來自日本、韓國、香港、西班牙、比利時、法國、以及義大利，其中以學中文者居多，其次以研究社會科學為主。

國際學術交流中心是交換學生的褓母，負責交換學生的生活住宿、接機、選課以及成績問題。彼此課程和考試制度的不同，讓學術交流中心扮演了交換生與老師之間的重要協調角色。校內英語授課的課程不多，交換生面臨沒有課可上的困境，加上學校有學分數的要求，因此中心必須要幫他們找出可上的課程。葉立克跟安光星說，他們選修了社會系所開的相關課程，內容包含了認識有關台灣現代社會發展以及台灣社會現況。這些課是與輔大同學一起，讓他們能有更多機會和同學們交流。此外，他們也在學校語言中心學中文。

來自韓國天主教大學的申惠麟與元裕真皆表示，剛到台灣時，因居留證還沒下來，因此無法馬上在台灣開戶和辦手機，身上帶著大筆現金讓他們很緊張。也因沒有選課密碼，無法上網選課，為此問題而忙碌奔波，所幸在國際學術交流中心以及學校行政人員的幫忙下順利解決。兩人又說到，雖然他們在韓國是中國學系的學生，曾到中國留學，但在溝通過程中，還是深刻體認到語言在跨文化中是一關鍵要素。

這些交換生在課程上雖有問題，但他們與台灣學生相處融洽。申惠麟與元裕真表示，她們室友人都很好，有問題都會幫助她們。葉立克說，同學們都很親切的幫助他，葉立克甚至參與輔大橄欖球隊的練習。交換生們雖然跟台灣學生們有著文化語言的差距，但依舊擺脫差異性融入輔大校園生活。

In this semester, there are 28 exchange students from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Spain, Belgium, France and Italy who come to Fu Jen University for learning Chinese and studying social science.

The Center for International Academic Exchange（CIAE）in Fu Jen University takes care the exchange students affairs regarding flight tickets, housing, grades, and courses taking; and the bridge between the exchange students and teachers in consulting the different courses and exams systems. Due to the situation that there are only limited classes offered in English, and the requirements of the credits taking for exchange students, CIAE has to find proper classes for them. Eric and Henri take classes with their Taiwannese colleagues from the Department of Social Science, including the social development and the current situation of contemporary Taiwan. In doing so Eric and Henry have more chances to communicate with other Taiwannese students. Moreover, Eric and Henri take Chinese classes in the Language Center.

Due to the visa residential permits problems, said from the students from Catholic University of Korea, Shen Hui-Lin and Won Yu-Jin, it is impossible for them to get the student ID, open a bank account and apply a cell phone. Also, they didn’t receive the class schedules, it causes the inconvenience of taking classes. Although they were major in Chinese while studying in Korea, and they have ever been to China for studies, they still deeply experience the language communication problems.

Although these exchange students have encountered several problems, they get along well with local students. Shen Hui-Lin and Won Yu-Jin said their roommates are friendly and enthusiastic to help them. Eric has the same experience as well. Eric also joins the practicing of the football team. Although there are some language and cultural gaps between the exchange students and the local ones, these exchange students try to get rid of the discrepancies and get used to the life in Fu Jen University.
